End-to-end encrypted transport
All data in transit is encrypted via MTProto 2.0, combining AES-256, RSA-2048, and Diffie-Hellman key exchange. No one can intercept your files mid-transfer.
Local Drive
Your files are stored on Telegram's infrastructure using the same encrypted cloud that powers one of the world's most secure messaging platforms.
Local Drive does not run a traditional file-hosting backend. Your connected Telegram account becomes the cloud layer, while Local Drive gives you a clean drive interface for upload, browse, preview, and download actions.
That keeps account ownership, session access, and storage identity close to the user instead of hiding files behind another private server.
All data in transit is encrypted via MTProto 2.0, combining AES-256, RSA-2048, and Diffie-Hellman key exchange. No one can intercept your files mid-transfer.
Your files live in Telegram's multi-datacenter infrastructure, spread across multiple jurisdictions. No single server holds your complete data in one simple location.
Access is tied to your Telegram session key. Only authenticated sessions can read or write your files. No password is stored on Local Drive servers.
Local Drive does not need to cache your file content on an intermediate storage server. Your files go to Telegram's cloud through the connected account workflow.
Since your files are backed by Telegram's cloud, you can access them from logged-in devices without giving up the encrypted transport model.
